born to the dry steppes of gyr abania but a child raised in the cold mountainscape of coerthas, cressida's life has never kept her in one place for long. outside of that, she keeps the details close to the heart. push on, and she'll evade questions with more light hearted responses or the occasional flirt. mayhaps there may be a day cressida might be willing enough to answer a question or two.

• Background

born on the steppes of gyr abania, cressida should have been a child to grow up with the proud ala mhigan peoples. however, with the advancement of the garleans into the territory, her family was forced to uproot themselves away.

she doesn't talk much about her earllier life. moving between several areas including coerthas and ul'dah, the highlander has never been one to necessarily settle down.

her family did settle down for a bit during her teens in ul'dah. she took on odd jobs in her earlier teens, but she had no problem standing up for herself, even if it meant getting into fights.

due to the fighting, however, it did catch the eyes of some wealthier, unscrupulous individuals. unlike her, these ones did not dare to get their hands dirty. if that meant taking someone to a back alley, hustling them down for their money or taking a knife to their throat, she had no problem doing it. when the gasps for air or the cries of agony graced her ears, her face stays stone cold and expressionless. money is money and a job is a job. no questions asked.

over the years, she's learned to meet her targets with a smile on her face. give ultimatums first, get rough second. that's how she's always been.

she currently runs a bakery in the heart of the goblet now. while it does serve as a business, for her, it is only for show. it allows her a place to meet with fellow contacts and clients without the sketchy atmosphere.

come to her for services and don't pay up the prices asked? she'll give you a sweet, little present that may very well be your last.

ala mhigan

while she may have been raised far from the motherland, cressida has always had an affinity towards her kin. with her parents taking her and essentially becoming refugees, she only knows customs and history by word of mouth. while she understand what has transpired in ala mhigo, she's rather clueless on most aspects of home.

if your character is/was a refugee from ala mhigo, this is definitely an avenue that can be explored!

pâtissière (baker)

one of her hobbies when she was younger, she uses this as a steady form of income when not participating in her other duties. need something for a celebration? just looking for a sweet spot? cressida will be happy to serve.

if you happen to ask about making 'special' pastries or sweets with certain supplied ingredients cressida will be happy to oblige - for a price.

sellsword / enforcer

while cressida will say she is a 'humble' baker, she earns her keep though selling her services if it involves physical force or use of weapons. having started since she was younger to get by, cressida's not afraid to get her hands dirty. a simple shake down? check. beat 'em up? also, check. quiet someone forever? check, she'll do that too.

note: anything that involves death/murder of any kind, this will require very open communication. she may be a violent, but as a rule and courtesy, i will not kill characters unless all players agree.

this mun is over the age of 18. my preferred pronouns are she/her. my timezone is central. i'm normally on after 7 p.m. most nights unless work or class i do like to get to know my RP partners outside of roleplay. this is more to understand what makes he/she/them like and dislike as well as appreciate getting to know them as a person. i feel like this also allows my partner and i to have better ooc communication about our roleplay.i am happy engaged and about to be married irl. if you even try to blur any ic and ooc lines in hopes of something more, i will immediately drop you as a roleplay partner.
